Are you feeling hopeless without a decent paying job? Jobs for Life offers you the chance to escape chronic unemployment and feelings of hopelessness. Through Jobs for Life you can develop interview skills, open a savings account, earn a GED diploma, and find a decent paying job. The application process is simple:


  1. Application: Applicant fills out and submits an application.

  2. Interview: Applicant is interviewed and evaluated to develop a Life Plan.

  3. Life Plan: Program participants are selected, and the Life Plan and goals are established. $10 book fee is paid.

  4. Attendance: Program lasts for 10 weeks (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings, 6 to 8 p.m.).

You Can Help

  • Pray. Ask God to encourage each participant in their job search, and that employers would offer them a chance. Receive periodic prayer updates by e-mail.

  • Serve as a team leader. Help the instructor lead the curriculum and/or supervise the support team.

  • Volunteer as a mentor. If you’ve ever written a resume, worked 9 to 5, or shown up for work on time, you could be a big encouragement.

  • Provide childcare. Help parents stay focused during class time.

  • Provide supper once a month or once a week. For some, it may be their only real meal that day.

  • Serve as record keeper, including photos of daily classroom activities.

  • Interview a job applicant. Does your company have positions to fill? Or could you conduct a mock interview at your worksite?

  • Refer a job seeker. Is someone in your church struggling to find work?
