Hope for the Inner City helps low-income people to acquire their first home.

• Homeowner Counseling: Responsible renters like “Denise” who are serious about owning a home can commit to 12 to 24 months of training with a Hope counselor.


• Financing: While Hope does not purchase or subsidize homes for anybody, we shepherd “Denise” through the process of repairing her credit, talking with a real estate agent, and applying for a loan.


• Home Maintenance: By learning how to plan a budget and schedule repairs, “Denise” becomes a good steward of her new home and a model to others in the neighborhood.
