Below is a list of volunteer opportunities at Hope for the Inner City.
Annual Support Banquet
- Qualifications: A heart of compassion for the poor. A desire to help the poor move from dependency to self-sufficiency.
- Responsibilities: Willingness to volunteer approximately 2 hours weekly starting in May. Willingness to help solicit and/or pick up silent auction donation.

Christmas Store
- Qualifications: A heart of compassion for the poor. A desire to help the poor move from dependency to self-sufficiency.
- Responsibilities: The Christmas Store is staffed solely by volunteers and staff who are asked to work in 2- to 3-hour shifts throughout the duration of the week filling the following positions:
- Greeter: Volunteers will welcome and collect the invitation card admitting them into the Christmas Store. They will insure that we receive a count of every participant and volunteer.
- Attendant: Volunteers will assist shoppers by answering questions, helping locate items, and insuring their shopping experience is a pleasant one.
- Gift Wrapper: Volunteers provide gift wrapping service for each shopper who would like it.
- Shopper: Volunteers would be responsible for purchasing additional merchandise from local stores. They will be given a shopping list from which to shop.
- Runner: Volunteers will assist shoppers in carrying there purchases to there car.
- Hospitality: Volunteers will be responsible for representing Hope through welcoming conversation, serving refreshments and general conversation.
- Prayer: Volunteers will be responsible to record prayer requests and actively pray with any shopper who requests it.

Dental Assistants, Hygenists, Dentists

- Responsibilities: A willingness to serve on a Saturday morning (as frequently as monthly or as few as once yearly) to provide expertise regarding legal issues facing the poor. Various legal specialties are needed.
