Chattanooga’s 25th Annual Turkey for Two

Feeding Low-Income Seniors and Families in Crisis

For a quarter-century Turkey for Two has been an outreach of Christian mercy to Chattanooga families in crisis. Thanksgiving turkeys, fixings and groceries are furnished to qualified families who are in crisis. This mercy outreach has served thousands of inner-city families while raising money for programs that serve the needy year-round.

Two ways to help:

  • Buy a turkey and feed a low-income family with every $50 donation. Give online by credit card (at right). Turkeys are available for pickup on Saturday, November 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at 1800 Roanoke Ave. (Or opt to leave your turkey to help an additional family.) All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Proceeds will support year-round programs that help the urban poor to become self-sufficient.

  • Volunteer to distribute food and pray with elderly nursing home residents. Volunteer teams will meet on Saturday, November 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Hope for the Inner City,1800 Roanoke Ave., to stuff food bags and fan out across the inner city in teams for delivery.
